Right Click On Lenovo Laptop Not Working
But I find that with my small hands reaching the right and left click buttons for the trackpoint is a bit annoying (they're far apart). I either use my right thumb (with right index finger on the trackpoint) or I use my left index finger & thumb for left and right click whilst navigating with right index finger. Hi I just bought a lenovo Z50-75 Model name 80EC laptop with windows 10 and its a great laptop but what I hate is that I cant right click by putting my two fingers in the touchpad, I could do that with my HP laptop but not now with my lenovo laptop, the driver it says thats Synaptics TouchPad V8.1 on PS/2 Port, can someone please help me make the TouchPad of my lenovo laptop right click with.
Welcome to the Forum!Re-enable mouse/ trackpoint and touchpad in BIOS settings and in FN-F8 settings if you have 'Hotkeys' installed. Then, check your settings in Windows:Windows 7: Control Panel- Hardware and Sound - Under Devices and Printers, select 'Mouse' - In the 'Buttons' Tab - Un-check the box which says 'Switch primary and secondary buttons' and click 'Apply.' Windows XP: Control Panel- Under Printers and other Hardware, select 'Mouse' - In the 'Buttons' Tab - Un-check the box which says 'Switch primary and secondary buttons' and click 'Apply.' Freezing issues can be related to a bad battery: (Read the entire thread).Freezing can also be caused by bad RAM (memory) sticks. Download and run ' to detect faulty RAM. There is also another memory diagnostic test called ' but this version works just fine and will run within Windows to detect any major memory errors.
Allow the program to run for several hours. If you don't have a bad battery or memory then your problem is most likely a bad/ corrupted Windows setup and/or viruses or failing hard drive. Click 'My computer,' right-click drive C- Properties - Tools - Check Now. Select the option which says 'Automatically fix file system errors.' Windows will then inform you that Drive 'C' is in use and ask you if you would like to schedule a disk check. Click 'Schedule disk check' and restart your computer. Keep your eye on the screen and notice if Windows 'Chkdsk' reports finding and fixing any problems. If so, great.
Also notice the summary at the end and note if it shows any bad sectors. If so, your hard drive has issues. Your registry could probably also use a good clean-up/defrag and thorough virus scan, or it may be better to just re-install Windows. Windows 10 blue box around text. However, look upon that last option as a last resort.
Read my advice about registry clean-up in the 2nd paragraph of my post.Of course freezing issues can also be caused by a failing GPU, system board or other hardware, but hopefully it's just a Windows set-up in need of a good clean-up. Just like a car, so you must regularly maintain/ tune-up your Windows set-up to keep it running smoothly. If you are running several programs or opening many browser windows at once which are overwhelming your system, then your R500 may benefit from a memory upgrade.
It takes DDR3 RAM which is pretty inexpensive nowadays. You can max it out to 8GB with 2 x 4GB sticks of 204-Pin DDR3-1333 (PC3-10600) or DDR3-1066 (PC3-8500) SODIMM laptop memory.Report back and let us know how you do! If anyone is still tracking this comment, I really need some help (or wondering if it requires manual fixing). My right click button on the trackpad is not working.
I have to rely on a plug-in mouse to have any right-click function. When I click on the right button track pad, it jumps to the 'search' function on the start menu. This happens when I have two fingers on the trackpad and click on the right button. If I don't have fingers on the trackpad, the right button does absolutely nothing.help, please!!! The button has never worked since I bought the laptop new (and maybe I should have brought it in immediately).
I have a Lenovo laptop with a built in Conexant SmartAudio microphone, running Windows 10 Version 1607, build 14393.576. I hadn’t had any problems with the microphone up until a few weeks ago, when it suddenly stopped working. When I right click on my volume controls and open up the “recording devices” menu, it shows that the computer detects the microphone, but when I talk, none of the bars on the right side of the menu turn green. However, when I first open the menu or if I click on one of the other tabs and switch back to the “recording” tab, several of the bars will turn green for an instant before going back to the default state. There are no other microphones detected by the computer, and the Conexant microphone is selected as the default. In the levels tab of the properties of this device, I have the volume set to 100, and the device is not muted.
I have tried the device at every level of Microphone Boost, and it has made no difference. When I click on the properties button within the properties menu, the Device Status says that the device is working properly.I have updated my microphone driver, my speaker drivers, the drivers under “sound, video and game controllers” in the device manager, and every single other driver on my computer, just to be as thorough as possible, and reset my computer after the drivers were updated. The microphone still does not work.
Not sure what else to try, and help would be greatly appreciated. I have a Lenovo laptop with a built in Conexant SmartAudio microphone, running Windows 10 Version 1607, build 14393.576. I hadn't had any problems with the microphone up until a few weeks ago, when it suddenly stopped working.

Left And Right Click Not Working On Lenovo Laptop
Hello, I'm having a similar issue but I'm not sure it is identical. Until 2 days ago all my items were working correctly. Upon attempting a Skype call I discovered while I had playback, none of my recording devices were working.

(Internal webcam and mic as well as gaming headset micthe playback on the headset was fine). Like the above issue, everything was being detected properly but no input (green bars) were coming up and the webcam was detected but none of the 5-6 applications I use could use it. I've confirmed the headset works on other devicesI've confirmed it's the default deviceI've reinstalled the driversI've updated the Nvidia driver and reinstalled (the only thing that had changed since it worked)Skype cannot find my sound cardSkype does not see any video recording devices (one is present in the device manager)I was hoping the connection between the multiple devices would help someone better qualified to assess the issue. At this point in time I'm leaning toward a hardware issue with the sound card.
Before I physically tear it apart Is there any other steps I should take software wise?
