Downloads Stop Before Completion
Locate and highlight (select) the file type or extension that you want to revert back the file download behavior to ask for open or save confirmation and stop the automatic opening or saving of downloaded file. Click on Advanced button. You have to log on or login on user account with Administrator or Power User privileges to use this function. Though it’s had its share of flaky behavior since being introduced in Windows 8, the Windows Store has gotten more reliable over time. It still has the occasional problems, though. One of the more irritating issues is when an app update (or install) gets stuck. Here’s how to fix that.
Contents.Still getting good transfer (but hash fails increasing) If you look at the console or other debugging info, you may find a piece of data is detected as bad by the integrity checking function ('hash failure'). This is most likely caused by a (' box', 'Broadband router') that is consistently mangling a specific piece-data packet. Some routers employ a trick called game mode, rewriting internal and external IP address bytes within incoming and outgoing packets. This allows older games that hard-code IP addresses to function behind a NAT setup. However, when such an address-byte sequence is coincidentally present within a file being sent via the BitTorrent protocol, the router mistakenly rewrites the data. This changes the content of the packet, which fails hash-checking. Any incoming packet that has a byte sequence that happens to match the address byte sequence is susceptible to mangling, an event estimated to happen once for about every 4GB of data transferred. There are several ways to fix or get around the problem:. Do not run your router in DMZ mode (where packets not explicitly forwarded are routed by default to a single machine), as many routers seem to employ game mode-like mangling by default for DMZ-bound traffic.
Instead, you should enable explicit on your router for the. If your router has such a game mode option (many do not, even though they mangle anyway), turn it off. If you have done the above two, try connecting directly to the Internet (i.e.
Bypass your NAT router entirely, by switching to bridge mode or by taking out your router if it's seperate from your modem) to finish off the last piece. Be sure to have all your latest OS patches and make sure you have a decent firewall otherwise your computer will get compromised in minutes.Since Azureus 2.4.0.2 you can also try to enable since it encrypts the data transport and thus it'll be less likely that the router will damage the same content twice. Also, make sure you use the latest Azureus version. Please note: There is a possible solution that will only work once for every download and only when your ISP assigns a dynamic external IP address to you. Simply disconnect/reconnect to the internet and hope that the IP changes. If that happens, your router will mangle another (different) byte sequence and you might be able to finish the download. But the next time a block contains the new byte sequence that'll happen again, thus it's only a temporary solution if you can't disable game mode/DMZ on your router.Your transfer speed on this torrent has dropped Anti- protection may be working to ensure that you share your file with others.
Azureus does not do this, but some other clients do.Your torrent has stopped downloading completely It possible that the is too low because there are no seeds or peers with the needed pieces to finish the download or it simply is a. For stuck torrents, you may be able to find another torrent with the same file using.Another possibility: Some routers/firewalls detect data that matches address byte sequences as. Check your router/firewall security log for IP spoofing entries. If you find entries, you need to disable IP spoofing detection.
You may need to disable the firewall function entirely.Other possible solutions Check what the remaining 0.1% is. Open up the torrent's Details and go to the Files tab to see which file is incomplete. If it is Thumbs.db, desktop.ini or.DSStore, right-click the file and choose Set Priority - Do not download. Operating systems sometimes generate these files when you browse a directory or folder. Such hidden system files on your computer are protected and cannot be replaced with the version from the download, so Azureus will keep trying to re-download it.If the file is a text or readme file, you may ignore it if it is not essential. If all else fails, stop and restart the torrent again. If that fails, click Transfer - Pause to stop all torrents, exit Azureus, wait three minutes, then run Azureus and click Transfer - Resume. There might also be a media indexer software active in your system, which modifies e.g.
MP3 files by adding tag information to them. For instance, Windows Media Player (WIMP) is set to 'retrieve additional information from the Internet by default. Those files, such as AlbumArt.jpg, are added to the torrent's folder, so Vuze will report errors. In Windows XP and Windows Media Player 11: To turn off that behavior, go to Windows Media Player Tools Options Library Automatic media information updates for files, and uncheck the box for 'Retrieve additional information from the Internet.' You will still have the opportunity to manually use the Tagging functions in Windows Media Player to retrieve album art, etc., for each piece of media. One strategy might be to back up the torrent on a different hard drive, and to add the additional media information to the backup copy.
That would leave the original torrent file or folder free from those additional files, and leaving Vuze to continue sharing smoothly and safely.Back to.
Your question is not super clear but I will take a stab at this. Maybe 2 different things depending on your problem. If file the goes to 100% then drops back to 99% on a boot? I would suspect CC cleaner of deleting all temp directories regularly. You would need to exclude the Tixati 'incomplete pieces folder' from CC cleaner's path.
Exclude all Tixati folder paths would be best. Actually if you don't know exactly, what to use CC cleaner for, don't use it for anything but the recycle bin feature. Excellent program for the advanced user, dangerous for those that are not.If the whole torrent only downloads to 99%, then it is something completely different. First question; are there complete seeds in the peer group, actually seeding? The way to confirm that is on the Tixati transfer page. With the torrent highlighted choose details.Just above the third bar down, on the right hand side you will see a number then the words ' Available copies'. That number must be 1 or greater.
Even.999 will still not complete the torrent. Thanks for the response,I figured out the problem was the torrent. There were no seeders and all my peers were stuck at 99% as well. I tried a different torrent and everything worked out.About CCleaner,I use it to clean cookies and to clear my temp directories. I'm not an extremely advanced user, but I am quite knowledgeable through self-education on technology in general. Do you have a resource for bittorrent?
I read the article on it on Wikipedia, but the specifics of bittorrent I do not know about.Again, thank you for taking the time to respond. I have seen the 99% often and it seems to be related to missing or corrupted files from the seed. Often these are misc. Txt or jpg extras in the package that aren't needed. But they may be in a block that included the final few bits to complete the main file and if that block gets dropped, the main file will never show as complete, though often, if a video, will play well. When it occurs, I often see the missing bytes at the beginning and end of the main file.
Not sure how this happens when the sole seed out there is advertising 100% as that would indicate to me their files all matched hash. Even with this, I have such a file sitting unfinished for perhaps as long as 6 months. The seed shows 100%, we occasionally connect but the final block never completes of matches hash. I don't understand it but it is what it is.
Well not always, i have a file back 100% but because i made format and upgtade to the latest Linux system and backup all settings of Tixati when did the hash check. File 100% gone back 99%, my bad there is no other seeders on the tracker to complete 100% but even if i make 100% will drop everytime to 99% just because i formated my system abd old settings not properly read by tixati 'for some files', i changed my path, i changed my driver letter etc another reason for the drop.Well i made a long thread regarding this bug but i'll not bringing to the attention for some reason. Also your opinion is correct most of time, but I am very confident that there is a bug on the file that fall to 99% after being 100%Regards,Nili. I am in a swarm right now for a torrent that only shows 1 or 2 seeds with 100%. There are about 30 others at 99%. I note that 1 files are incomplete. One is the typical 'downloaded from aaa. Txt' and the other is the main file, missing a small amount. Some have suggested that the text file and the end of the main file share the same block.
If the seed deleted, edited or turned off the txt file, thinking it unimportant, it will cause the final block to fail and so no one else will ever get 100%.What confuses me is how the seed reports 100%. I would think their files would have to pass hash check and if they do, why wouldn't they pass hash check on send?

That is unless they turned off sharing the small txt file. Grasping at the possibilities but that's the best i can guess. Not really from aaa or xxx - the hostnames were changed to protect the innocent:)I came to the conclusion that particular torrent was sabotaged. When I checked it yesterday, I saw 3 seeds available and for a moment, tixati showed connecting to 2 of them at the same time.
They were both advertising the same client (not tixati), they were both using the same port, but while they were colored light blue as seeds are, one showed 79% and the other 0% available. How can a seed not have 100%? That and the same port number and client confirmed it for me. I think this was a fake file, inserted by someone intending to poison the network. Dozens of peers downloaded 99% when it was first available and now sit months on end thinking they'll somehow get that last 1% - ain't neva gonna happen.

Time to delete torrent and data and free up some disk space. And pete. I found tixati has a neat feature. It allows sending private messages, very private, highly encrypted even they claim. I know, the source is closed, but I am a sucker. I believe them when they say the PM is super private.
